This week we are doing without the traditional short monologue ... we offer, instead, a long monologue. More like a One Act Play. This extended monologue is one act of the three included in G.L.'s Brighton Train trilogy, three one-acts that are set on the trains that run between London and the resort town of Brighton. They can be performed alone or together, as a night's entertainment. I've posted the link to the script with the cover art. I've also put it HERE for you.

I'm David Meyer. I produce and MC the shows G.L., the playwright, is Geralyn, my wife. Her web site, StagePage [http://www.StagePage.info/], gets over a thousand visitors on an average day. I'm the techie, the one with the computer skills and the background in radio (two or three 'years' back), and I get to create the shows. Shows about Real Theater. About Art - a Performing Art - and it includes the works of artists - works you can't find anywhere else. Geralyn wants to have one of her plays produced. What she has are requests to do her monologues. This is nice, good feedback, but anyone is welcomed to use the monologues for school or for auditions. Then she started taking snippets of over-heard conversations, blogs, and other source material and turning them into One-Minute Mouth-Offs [http://www.stagepage.info/mouthoffs/oneminutemonologues.html]. Some she agrees with, some not. Some the originators might recognize, some not at all.
